At Elevations Leeds, we are proud to be a long-established, family-run school at the heart of the Chapel Allerton community. For many years, we have been inspiring students of all ages to develop their confidence, creativity, and passion for the performing arts in a welcoming and supportive environment.
We cater for children and young people aged 3–18 years, providing high-quality training that nurtures talent, builds life skills, and encourages every student to reach their full potential. Whether taking their very first steps into dance and performance or preparing for advanced examinations and future opportunities, our students benefit from expert teaching and a genuine sense of belonging. Alongside our thriving children's programme, we also offer a popular and well-attended adult programme, welcoming learners of all abilities who want to stay active, learn new skills, and enjoy the many benefits of dance and movement in a friendly and encouraging setting.
As a family-run school, we understand the importance of creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere where every student feels valued and supported. Many of our families have been with us for years, and we are proud of the strong community spirit that makes Elevations Leeds so special.

Classes & Opportunities
At Elevations Leeds, we offer a wide range of classes designed to inspire, challenge and develop performers of all ages and abilities.
For our youngest students, we begin with our Creative Dance classes for pre-school children, providing a fun and imaginative introduction to movement, music and coordination in a nurturing environment.
From the age of 4, students can explore a variety of dance and performance styles, including:
- Ballet, Tap & Jazz
- Street Dance, Musical Theatre & Contemporary
- Acro Dance
Whether your child wants to dance for fun, build confidence, make new friends or pursue a career in the arts; at Elevations Leeds, the opportunities are endless. Some students dream of a professional career in the performing arts, whilst others simply enjoy dancing as a hobby and being part of our wonderful community.
Graded syllabi: We are registered with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the International Dance Teachers' Association (IDTA). We hold regular examination sessions and will let you know if your child is eligible to take part.
Performance is at the heart of what we do. Each year, we proudly stage a full-scale theatre production, giving all students the chance to experience the excitement of performing on stage.
