We hope your summer is off to a fantastic start! A huge thank you to our returning members who completed registration during the priority period — we’re always blown away and incredibly grateful that you continue to choose us for your dance journey.
With all priority re-enrolment data now in (window closed Friday 25th July), we're carefully reviewing each class to see where adjustments may be needed. This includes identifying any classes that are oversubscribed or under-enrolled, so we can make the best decisions.
In some cases, quieter classes may need to be removed from the schedule (if we know they are ability dependent and cannot be advertised). For busier classes where demand is high, we prioritise returning students in the following ways: a) those who took the same subject last year and b) are hoping to return on the same day.
We’re working as quickly as we can. Our aim is to send out confirmation of your child’s place sometime this coming week. Confirmation of your place will arrive via Membermeister, so please keep an eye out for your confirmation email OR an email to discuss options should we not be able to accommodate you in the classes you want to attend.
Summer Camps & Classes
We’ve had a fantastic start to our summer classes and camps! The energy, enthusiasm, and smiles have made every session a true joy. One of our favourite moments is showcasing what the students have learned — and it’s even more rewarding when parents and carers are amazed at how much students have been taught in just three hours!
Join us for Summer Fun: It’s not too late! We have spots available in our half-day camps and summer classes, and we’d love to welcome you in.
We are currently awaiting the July examination results and will notify you as soon as they are received.
Wedding Bells
Miss Laura is getting married this August to her lovely partner, Jake. We wish them both a very long, happy and healthy future together. ❤️💒💍
We’ve just set up a group collection for Miss Laura to gift her a voucher for Rudding Park, so she and Jake can enjoy some well-deserved relaxation as newlyweds.
If you’d like to contribute—no matter the amount—you can do so via the pool link below. We’d also love it if you could leave a personal message for them!
Please note: You don’t need a PayPal account to contribute. Simply continue as a guest and uncheck the “create account” option.
Thank you for helping us celebrate this special occasion. Laura is such a special part of our school, and is loved by us all!
As part of this exciting update, we’ve included an Elevations t-shirt with your Membership this year. We’re really keen for every student to have one.
Elevations T-Shirts:
Street Dance and Musical Theatre: Worn as part of the core uniform.
Ballet, Tap, Acro, Contemporary, and Jazz: Worn over leotards for arrival, exit, and warm-up.
Elevations Events (Showtime): T-shirts must be worn on arrival and departure.
This update is part of our effort to raise standards and ensure a more professional and unified appearance — particularly as we’ve seen an increase in students arriving in unsuitable clothing for class.
We might be able to schedule a couple of 'drop-in' slots the first week of September (before we officially re-open) incase anyone wants to collect theirs before the term starts. Will confirm in due course.
If you are new to the school and your trial goes well- you can collect your t-shirt once you've settled and made payment for the term.
Brandwear & Uniform Update
Katie and May are no longer handling our Elevations brandwear sales. We want to extend a big thank you to Catherine and her team for the excellent service they provided over the past year.
One of the key reasons we initially partnered with Katie and May was the convenience of their Chapel Allerton store — but now that it has closed, this feels like the right time to bring brandwear sales back in-house.
Going forward, you can place brandwear orders using the form link below. Please note: we don’t hold stock, so there will be a short lead time. When it is ready, you can collect your order in class.
If you need a new hoodie, zoodie or fleece for return and want to guarantee arrival for September start please order by 17th August.
Please also find a link below to our uniform list, and kit links to online retailers to help you with your purchase.
Life's busy – but you deserve a moment just for you! Elevation's adult dance classes are the perfect mix of fitness, fun, and feel-good energy. From Ballet and Tap to Street and Jazz, there’s something for every level – no pressure, just great music and good vibes. You don’t have to do the annual show (though we think you’d shine!), but you do get to move, laugh, and feel amazing.

After 17 wonderful years, our beloved Defying Gravity Gymnastics Club, has unfortunately closed this summer. Rising (unaffordable) rental costs at Holt Park Leisure Centre, coupled with a shortage of future qualified coaching staff, have made it unsustainable to continue operations. Thank you to all those who supported us over the past 17 years and a huge, huge, huge thank you to Head Coach Vikki and the coaching team- Emma, Estelle, Ewan and Ellie for all their energy and commitment. We're so sad it's all over!
Teachers
As we bid farewell to our wonderful Miss Maisie (we wish her all the best with her medical studies), we say hello to some new members of staff...
Miss Abby
Fully Qualified DanceTeacher
Abby graduated from Performers College, Essex with a Dance and Musical Theatre Degree along with several teaching qualifications. After soaking up every opportunity she could during her time down South, she is now back in West Yorkshire teaching at various schools and can't wait to get started!
Coach Anya
Fully Qualified Acro Teacher
Anya began her gymnastics journey at the age of six, quickly developing a passion for acrobatics by the time she was seven. She competed across the country until the age of 16, when she achieved her British Gymnastics Acrobatics Qualification. Since then, Anya has coached and supported numerous competitive acrobatic squads, bringing both experience and enthusiasm to every session.
A talented dancer, Anya is thrilled to combine her love of dance with her acrobatic expertise as part of the coaching team at Elevations Dance—where her own dance journey began at just five years old.
After spending the past few years living in Scotland, Anya is excited to be back in Leeds and looks forward to inspiring the next generation of acro dance performers.
Hall of Fame- Student Achievements
Celebrating Our Stars – We’re So Proud of You!
We are absolutely thrilled by the number of students who have recently auditioned for—and succeeded in—productions, advanced training programmes, and other exciting opportunities. Your talent, dedication, and hard work continue to inspire us, and we couldn’t be prouder!
To celebrate all of these incredible achievements, we’re putting together a ‘Hall of Fame’ to showcase your successes and share your news with our wider school community. Whether it’s a recent accomplishment or something from the past academic year, we’d love to hear from you!
If you’re a parent of a student who would like to be included, please complete the form below and upload a photo you’re happy for us to use. We want to ensure no one is missed, so please remind us of your achievements by 17th August even if you think 'Hayley already knows this'- I still have 'baby brain' 2 years later!
